Introducing the New Project Wizard

Use this interview style wizard to specify and set up a project, team, release, and requirements. A placeholder use case, design, and test plan will also be created. If you are new to software development or to Code Roller, then it is recommended that you use the wizard. Once the wizard has started, you will be presented with a series of four screens.
  1. The initial screen is to create the project itself.
  2. The subsequent screen is where you build your team for the project.
  3. After that comes a screen where you create a release for the project.
  4. The final screen allows you to enter in each requirement for this first release.
With each screen, fill out the form then click the Add button which will take you to the next screen in the wizard. You are encouraged to enter multiple requirements where each requirement describes a single feature, function, entity, attribute, or task; however, that level of granularity is really up to you. To enter multiple requirements, simply make your changes after pressing the add button then press the add button again. Keep doing this until you have finished describing all of the desired features. After you have finished, you can always find your project again in the green projects box on the right hand side. You can always add more requirements in the requirements area in your workspace. Be sure that your project is selected in the dropdown list. You can learn more about the new project wizard by taking this tutorial. You will need to log in using your Code Roller credentials. You may have to update a profile page and go through email verification.

Let's Get Started

With the introduction of the who should participate screen to the wizard and the removal of the next button, this video is now a little out of date. We appologize for the inconvenience and promise to produce a new one soon. We still believe that the video is helpful to watch for those new to the wizard.
